Toshiba Matsushita Display announced today the world's thinnest 12.1-inch wide-format low-temperature Poly-Si (LTPS) TFT LCD for Mobile Notebook PC Applications.

Poly-Si (LTPS) TFT LCD:

The Japanese joint venture between the 2 biggest Japanese PC manufacturers, presented a 12.1" Poly-Si LCD with LED backlight technology that is only 2.9mm thick, while its weight is only 183g. This type of screen will be used in laptops, and it's currently the thinnest on the market.
